Airports in Japan

Tokyo Narita Airport (Tokyo)

The vast majority of international flights to Japan arrive at either Narita Airport or Kansai Airport. Car rental at Narita Airport is available with Times Car RENTAL, an Europcar partner, at both Terminal 1 and 2. Driving to Tokyo's city centre between 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the traffic.

Times Car RENTAL reception counter can be found on the arriving floor at both terminal1 and 2.

Car rental in Japan not only provides you with flexibility for your travel arrangements but can also prove to be a great value as rental costs start from only 6,000 Yen per day (approx. / 35 USD / 28 GBP).
Parking rate in Tokyo is relatively expensive. However, there are many short and daily rate parking lots and facilities available within all areas of the Tokyo city centre which are located within a short driving distance of a major motorway.

International Driving Permit (IDP) issued based under Geneva Convention on International Road Traffic of 1949 is the only IDP acceptable to drive in Japan.

For those whose local driving licenses are issued in France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and Taiwan, the local driving license accompanied by its official translation documents are accepted.
