RESERVATION

What is included in the price?

Your Europcar rental quote takes into account all mandatory charges corresponding to your reservation criteria. This quote generally includes the following items :

- Value Added Tax or any other local tax

- Unlimited Mileage

- Free Additional Driver

- Premium station surcharge

- Licence fee surcharge

- Third party liability insurance

- Collision Damage Waiver (“CDW”) (Excess liability charge of 100,000 JPY)

- Personal Accident Insurance (“PAI”) (for main driver and additional drivers)

How will I know that my reservation is confirmed?

At the end of the reservation process you will receive a "Reservation Confirmation" page with the reservation number highlighted. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail containing the details of your reservation. You should print these and keep them for your records.

Is it possible to view my reservation after it is confirmed?

Yes, you can view your reservation by clicking on the Modify / Cancel link in the Concierge Service or My Europcar sections

Is it possible to modify / cancel my prepaid reservation after it is confirmed?

Yes, it is possible via the Modify/Cancel link. Fees may apply in certain cases: you will be notified at time of modification/cancellation. The amount initially charged will be refunded on your credit card number if the required notice is given (see Terms and Conditions). Please note that you can only modify or cancel the reservations which have been made online by yourself. You will not be able to amend online reservations made or modified via our Reservation Service Centre, Travel Agency, or reservations using a driver ID whilst you are not logged on using the same Driver ID.

You will receive a confirmation of amendment or cancellation by e-mail . You should print these and keep them for your records.

Can I rent a car without the International Driver's Permit if I am the membership and registered？

No. You are not allowed to rent a car without presenting the valid International Driver's Permit. Please make sure you have the valid International Driver's Permit and will present it at the time of pick up.

Do you offer a Chauffeur service?

No, we do not have the service.


INSURANCE

Is insurance included in the rate quoted ?

When you rent a vehicle from Europcar, Third Party Liability cover for Bodily Injury and Property Damage will always be provided, in accordance with the legal requirements. This cover is automatically included in the rental at no extra cost. Additional covers not included in the rate may always be purchased at time of rental subject to payment of an additional daily charge. Prices are displayed on the booking confirmation.

What will happen in the case of an accident if I did not have deductible insurance? How much the surcharge will be?

The rental includes unlimited third party except deductible amount of JPY 50,000 for third party properties, passengers (Up to JPY 30,000,000 per person covered) and vehicle damage (market value and deductible amount of JPY 50,000 to 100,000 applied). In case of the accident, you are responsible of those deductible amount and the accident fee called NOC (Non Operation Charge).


DURING THE RENTAL

What should I do in case of an accident?

Please follow on the procedure metioned on below.
（1） Move your car to the safe place.

（3） Report to the police.
　　　　　▼
（4） Check the accident condition of third parties.
　　　　　▼
（5） Report to your pick-up station.

DO NOT negotiate with third parties. Otherwise insurance will not be covered.

Can I change the term of contract during my rental?

When you change your schedule, please contact your return station in advance. We will check if it is possible. We may not be able to change your schedule depending on the booking status of other customers.
